Breast Lift (mastopexy) Melbourne

Breast lift, also known as mastopexy is performed to correct the sagging that can occur with time due to factors such as pregnancy, breastfeeding and gravity. This procedure raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. This gives the breast a more pleasing shape.

How is Breast Lift performed?

Incisions are made in the lower part of the breast to remove excess skin, following which the nipple and areola are moved to a new, higher position. Mastopexy can also be combined with placement of breast implants to further enhance the result.

This procedure may be performed under local anaesthetic with twilight or deep sedation and takes 1.5 to 3 hours.
